Celebrating the Solar Return: An Astrological Birthday Journey

As the earth completes its annual journey around the Sun, each of us experiences a unique celestial event known as the Solar Return, or what many might call our astrological birthday. It can vary by up to 24 hours from your original birthday.

Unlike the traditional birthdays we all know, a Solar Return marks the moment the Sun returns to the exact position it was in at the time of our birth, signifying the start of a new personal year. This is a time of reflection, intention setting, and, for me, a journey to new horizons. I used to be a traveler all my life. This idea of special birthday celebration place make my trips reasonable and full of fun.

My name is Iryna Wood, a relationship specialist with a flair for astrology. Having recently celebrated my 37th birthday, I’ve spent the last decade embracing the tradition of traveling to various destinations to observe my Solar Return. Each location, from the historic streets of Lisbon, Portugal, to Asian cultured Singapore or vibrant landscapes of Denver, Colorado, offers a unique backdrop to align with my goals and aspirations for the coming year.

How does it work for me or my clients? I do a reading of my astrological potential for a year and choose the best place to celebrate my Solar Return according to the mathematical formula that helps you to determine how powerful planets take places in different houses of horoscope (spheres of life in astrological language) and empower them. Let’s say you are dreaming to get pregnant this year – to help this occasion to be attracted into your life astrologically, your Jupiter or Uranus should be located in house V (Astro field of kids and pleasure). Or you want a clarification for your love relationship: final ‘yes’ or ‘no’ after years of dating – then Jupiter should be placed in VII house of horoscope that is partnership field. Another example: you want to add a lot of discipline and responsibility to your life, that people don’t usually want to experience. From the other hand, it is a conscious desire to become emotionally and mentally adult – strict father of the sky, planet Saturn in house I (house of self) can help you with that.

My clients and I using this technique to manifest your annual goals for years and I never heard a bad feedback about that experience. Of course, besides prayer and meditation you should definitely collaborate with the Universe through action. If you desire to get a higher eduction, a better job or move to another country, whatever, you should act: deal with papers, search for colleges, study the law etc.

So, the ritual of the Solar Return is deeply personal and transformative. It is believed that being in the right place at the right time can significantly influence the energetic downloads for the year ahead, aligning them with our deepest desires and dreams. Additionally I do 21 days cleanse before my birthday to create a better energetic field around: give up bad habits, get rid of useless pictures or information on my phones and computer, throw away old clothes or donate it to help people, range my things and organize my business projects, clean my list of contacts and so on. I calm my mind down purposely to be ready for a new stage in my life.

After my birthday celebration spans 12 days, symbolizing the 12 zodiac signs, and how I spend each day is a reflection of how I wish to navigate the coming months. It’s a blend of travel, meditation, self-care through massages, indulging in books, focusing on business projects, nurturing creative initiatives, and cherishing moments with loved ones. This year, after meeting my astrological birthday in Colorado, the urge to explore was irresistible, leading to an impromptu road trip across various states. Each day was an adventure, mirroring the year of travel and discovery I envision for myself.

But the essence of the Solar Return extends beyond personal celebrations. It’s a profound moment to introspect, realign, and set the stage for the year to come. It’s about understanding the cosmic language and how it resonates with your individual journey.
